This high quality, octagonal summerhouse can be enhanced with a weatherboard timber or felt roof in place of the traditional felt.
The quality Georgian windows and doors, used in our traditional square summerhouses continue to be featured in this building. All four windows are top hung to open up to allow plenty of ventiliation.
Garden Building Timber Specifications
The Hutchinsons craftsmen are always striving to develop their structures and refuse to compromise on the quality of their garden features by using construction timbers of a lower specification. Hence, our buildings are constructed of heavy duty 2” x 2” (45 x 45mm) framing timbers in preference to the commonly used 32 x 32mm timbers.
Similarly, all Hutchinson’s buildings are clad with stronger tongue and grooved boards 150mm wide, in contract to the 125mm overlap boards frequently used by many other garden building constructors. The tongue and groove boards used by Hutchinsons benefit by linking along their entire length, thereby significantly improving structural strength of the building.

Hand Built Garden Buildings
All of our garden buildings are designed and hand built in our workshop in rural Essex. As a result, we are able to tailor the standard designs to meet our clients’ individual requirements. A common upgrade is the inclusion of bench seats across rear walls. Additional doors / windows / alternative glazing options are available on request.
